Boo CBS for end of American/Villanova coverage

What is wrong with the director of CBS’ tourney coverage?

After having very good coverage of the American/Villanova game for the first 37 minutes, he suddenly lost his mind at the end of the game.

First, there were the constant looks at the Nova coach, who apparently sees himself as a George Clooney look-alike.

And although I appreciate that Nova was in the process of putting away the game, I didn’t appreciate missing most of the last 2 minutes so that I could watch the end of MI/Clemson, which was a game they had barely shown and with which there was no connection. Grrrrrrr

And when MI/Clemson finally ended, did CBS go back to show the last 20 seconds and the shots of happy Nova players and the disappointed American players? No, they had a lot of black screens and then finally they went to the last 7 MINUTES of Gonzaga/Akron.

For a network that had no problems showing a freshman crying into his towel after losing an earlier game, they really screwed up the heart tug moments at the end of the Nova/American game.

Bad job CBS.

Otherwise tourney coverage has been good so far.

Greetings from Agganis Arena where BU leads Maine 3-1 at the end of the first period.

I’m unintentionally sitting in enemy territory as (I think) members of the BC hockey team are sitting in front of me scouting. Seem like nice guys except for making the mistake of going to BC.

Sparse crowd tonight. Boston is celebrating St Patrick’s Day so those who are back from spring break are either out getting their Irish on, are at the women’s America East championship, are here or are just losers.
